in todays class we watched more projcts and all of them also did a good job. we gave all of them what we thought their grade should be. i think all of them did a great job

in todays class we did more of the projects. all of them were very good and they also put in alot of work. but today was different becuase mr shick gave us papers to see what we think their grade should be. also tell him what they did a good job on.

in todays class, we finally presented our project on a aqueduct. i think we did a great job and hopefully get a good grade. we put alot of work into this project so i really think we did a good job.

in todays class we just worked on our project the entire time. me jude and pev are going to build the aqueduct this weekend and finish it finally. we have to get the things that will build it and all of the objects we have to build with

todays class was probably the most fun class all year. at first jude and kelsey boyle started to teach the class. they were very bad at teaching so they got fired like right away. they were just goofing off. then me and pev started teaching and we did very nice. mr schick liked the way we teached and i think we ave a future with teaching honestly. this was a very fun class

todays class was pretty slow and boring... we took more notes on ancient greece. we leanred about the branches of government. it compared all three of the branches of the greeks and our governement now. it is very similar in amny ways.

in todays class we finished watching the movie about tiberius and octavius. the movie was great and very interesting. it was a terrible ending how tiberius got beat to death but thats how it went back than... he seemed to be a great leader and it is sad that it had to end that way. romes senate was very unfair to him and thats a huge problem. all in all this clip was very interesting.

in todays class hunter pev was not here but we were working on our project.... we are planning to start building the aquedect this sunday at somebodys house. we need to make an aqueduct and make a mini powerpoint explaining how they built it and all of the information about the ancient aqueducts. this project will involve alot of work but it should turn out good

in todays class we took more notes than we started to watch a movie about rome. it started out at first with the end of the war than it started depicting romans taking over Carthage and knocking down their walls. the Carthaginians would throw rocks at the romans and pour boiling oil or water on them than set them on fire.

in todays class we learned more about greece, we leanred about all three of the punic wars. they were between rome and carthage. the first one lasted for 27 years then the second was 17 and then the third was only three. the second punic war hannibal the great came in with great strategie. he was the first one ever to do a flank and suprise attack the enemy

todays class was very short because we had a fire drill but n class we talked about our project. mr schick asked for everyones name of evey grouo and what they were doing it on. my group is hunter , jude, and myself. we are making an ancient rome aqueduct made out of cardboard and paper.

today class consisted of one main topic, the riots in the streets of baltimore. we talked about our opinions on it an d what we can do to help. we also talked baout how they may come to bel air but is most likely not going to happen. there is currently more peace around the city but is still a major problem. baltimore is my hometown and i hope all the best for it.

In today's class, we spent the entire time searching facts about Rome.  We looked up the colosseum, Circus Maximus, Roman Forum, and aqueducts. all we did was pretty much look up these things and find very interesting facts that we have never heard about them before .  This taught me alot about all four of these things that were built in ancient times. 

in todays class we learned more about what we are going to do for our 200 pt project. we are building an aqueduct made out of PVC pipe and cardboard. we plan to do it next weekend at somebodys house. it will be tricky but i think we can manage it. it will be a fun project

todays class was very interesting. we started off with taking notes on rome. but than he got a call from a special guest than. mr shcick came back into class dressed like a rapper. he rapped a song about ancient rome. it was actually really fun, it will actually help us study becaus eeevrything in the rap is right and in order.

in todays class we talked about more of rome and took some notes of the war that happened in rome. we learned some about hannibal the greta who was a 20 year old soldier that had great fighting tactics than eventually lost the war. mr shick said we are going to learn more about this tomorrow. and also we talked about the roman expansion

i was not in class today

todays class was very interesting, we watched the allegory in the cave which was about plato and how we see hings as people and really dont think outside of the box. this lesson was for mr schick to not just say okay to the things we learn. we should always have questions and not just beleieve everything that we hear.

todays class mostly consisted of  us talking about mr Schicks past job of him meeting all kinds of celebrities and actors. it is very cool how he met all these actors and spent long periods of time working with these famous people. than we started watching a video about plato i think. it was about the illusions that theses 3 people who were chained up kept seeig. all they could see were there shadows. we havnt watched much of the video so i really dont know what it is about.

in todays class we went over the ancient greece test. i did pretty well on it i got an 84 %. i studied very hard for it and the outcome was alright. the only thing i really had trouble with was the dates of what went with what. hopefully i do well on this part of the exam because i worked really hard on this section

today we are officially done with our paper. we have to study alot for this ancient greece test. i have a feeling it is going to be very hard but i will definetly be prepared. i really need to get a good grade on this test. i think that we have done a very good job on our 1,000 word paper and should we should relaly get a good grade on it.

in todays class we finsihed our 1,000 word paper. we have been working very hard and have lots of details and lots of words on here tocover our entire thing. it has taken awhile and i think we will get a greta grade on it. i had to finsih some of it over the weekend and put alot of work in so i hope we do well

today in class we took notes on the greek gods. we learned about all of the gods and and about the two men who kept going back and forth with each other. we learned about all of the gods and what each one stood for. it was all pretty cool but its all fake so it dosnt matter. one thing cool is that zeus is in someway related to all of the gods in someway shape or form

today in class we finished the powerpoints. he powerpoints were very good but some of them were very short. we got our grade on our powerpoint, we got a 91, we did very well. i am very happy and content with this grade

in todays class we did not do much, we did 3 of our power-point presentations on ancient greece. we did pretty well except mr Schick got on me for having the wrong numbers. we took notes on other peoples projects. adn we had to tell mr shick on a piece of paper how much all of the work we did. i think we all did the same amount of work

in todays west civ class we took more notes on ancient greece. we talked about how they became a tyrany and all of them were tyrants. i forgot what the name of the guy was but he had all of the power in ancient greece but than suddenly was not even aloud to come back into his own country. he left with his family and joined up with the persians. than we talked about the mock trial questions and we actually got alot of the questions correct.

today in class we took more notes on ancient greece. mr kimble was our sub. we had peanut butter an jelly sandwiches. muhlenfield brought the peanut butter kelsey had the jelly, and pierce brought the bread. class was pretty fun but we had to take notes.

today all we did was worke don our powerpoints. the people in my group are hunter and jude. we are pretty much done our powerpoints we just need to do all of the finishing touches and grammar. i have learned alot about athens through this powerpoint. and as i said in my last blog i am dong athens, jude is doing the pelopenesian war and hunter is doing spartans. this project has been very interesting so far.

today in the first part of class we studied for a test about ancient egypt. than eventually we took the test. he said that the tests average score was a 78. the test was fairly easy but i have no clue what i got. it definetly was not that hard of a test and it was a fair test.

today in class i had great day because i got a B in the pyramid game. me and jude worked together but jude finished first. it was a very hard and frustrating game. it really makes you think alot. it was pretty fun but made me mad. the game was about driving boats and building your pyramid with the right people and right building materials.

today we watched 3 videos. the first one was about pyramids and what is inside of them. sicentists have been studying these pyramids and have found every single room inside and every single passageway. the pharoahs room is very large and was inside of a case that maybe had a lid on it. except the pharoah was not in its case and never found the body in it. the pharoahs wifes room was very small. there are many passageways into different rooms in these pyramids.

the second video we watched was the mumification process. first you soak it in salt for 40 days. this mummy was named heraclities. the heart was removed from the body, but the lungs stayed. second step was different oils, than thick resin, which stuck the strips of linen to the body. he was placed on a wooden board. than more resin and more rappings bounded them together. than a pouch wa splaced on the chest. thna a mummifies ivus was put on the abdomin. than strips covered those two things than a pannel of himself was placed where his head would be than rapped him in linen. than the rare treatment of red cloth on him. this means he was very special and would keep him safe

this guy pretty much talked about the daily life of the egyptians. the nile river was the best thing for the egyptians, it bathed them, it gave them water to drink, and it gave them amazing soil. planting was so easy for the egyptans because of the rich soil. they could just toss the seed around and in a couple of weeks there would be a small amount of food. egyptian communities really only lived along the nile. they could rush valuable things down stream to transport them faster.it was very easy for them to control the nile. just by making gateways for the water to rush in. there was an old kingdom a middle kingdom and a new kingdom

the egyptions were one of the first people to start telling time. they knew the time because of the even shadow lenghts which they called noon, meaning half of the day. when the sun was straight up in the sky it was noon.

also the egyptions had great breakthroughs in medicine. they were the first to have physicians and doctors. they found out that you cant be healed off the god you believed in and couldnt be done by magicians.

the egyptions contributed to alot of the discoveries in astronomy. astronomy was a part of their system of keeping time. they would use the stars to help them out also

the egyptions were the first ones to discover a plow. they would connect it to some sort of animal and a heavy weight on it to dig in while the animal is plowing the soil.

they were the first ones to invent the calender. they were so technical on their time period and wanted to be the first ones to start the real time of the world. they would have seasons and different months

today in class we learned mor eon egypt. we didnt get much done in class but we wrote notes on all the jobs of the people in the population pyramid. also we leanred about their ancient art and how it wasnt very great art and they didnt understand different aspects of drawing. we learned that artisins are the people that draw the things in the pharoas house and all of the great sculptures.

Ancient egypt, centered around the nile river, this river flows from south to north. it is the longest river in the entire world, 4,000 miles long. it is good for irrigating, bathing, and transportation back than. evry july it floods and evey october they collect the very rich soil that it has. the delta is a very marshy abroad place. there was  many different people than that were treated in different ways and had more rights than others.
